Blame Social Security For Sad Scene
I recently was standing in line to pay a utility bill, and in front of me was this woman who was a senior citizen. What I saw broke my heart. This woman was shuffling money to pay her utility bill and talking to herself trying to figure out how she was going to buy her medications.
It saddens me to know that our country keeps forgetting about our fine senior citizens -- the citizens who paid Social Security out of their hard-earned wages just to end up like that.
What is wrong with this picture, people?
Can you figure it out? It's not rocket science!
These seniors are getting ripped off by our government after paying in so many years. They don't get enough Social Security even to pay their rent or buy their medicines! I am so sick of this. We can sit and blow smoke all day up in Washington, but the reality is they could care less about our seniors.
I say let's stop paying Social Security and invest in our own retirement. I am positive we could live so much better after we retire than what the government is willing to hand back.
Why do we keep playing politics with this matter? I, for one, am not gullible to the ignorance of our politics. It's about money and the rich, not the welfare of the people.
Let's change it fast, folks, before we all end up like that.
