Generic name: Metronidazole

Metrogel is used topically for rosacea, a disorder of the facial skin that is characterized by redness on the cheeks, nose, chin, or forehead, and small visible blood vessels on the face. Metrogel will not cure rosacea, but it will help to control it.

Metronidazole may irritate the skin. If local irritation occurs, consult your doctor. You may need to use the medication less frequently or to discontinue use. 

ADULTS
Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice a day.
