Drug InformationAcidophilus has been used to replenish the normal bacteria in the stomach, intestines, and vagina. Acidophilus has been used in the treatment and / or prevention of vaginal yeast infections, yeast infections of the mouth, antibiotic-induced diarrhea, and urinary tract infections.
Mechanism:
Acidophilus is also called Lactobacillus acidophilus. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a bacteria that exists in the body and is important in the maintenance of the normal level and consistency of bacteria in the body.

Side EffectsAlthough uncommon, allergic reactions to acidophilus have been reported.
Precautions:
