Drug InformationAlbuterol is used for patients with asthma, bronchitis and other lung conditions, in which patients have difficulty in breathing. This medicine may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Albuterol relaxes the smooth muscle around the airways, allowing for easier breathing.

Side EffectsSome common side effects reported with this medicine include: shaking, pounding chest, nausea, nervousness, trouble sleeping
Precautions:
Before using this medicine, notify your doctor if you have: diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, overactive thyroid, seizures
Preganant:

Dosage InformationFollow the directions that your doctor has given you. This medicine comes in various forms and may be used differently. The liquid or tablets are taken orally and may be taken with food if stomach upset occurs.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
