Drug InformationThese medicines are used to lower high blood pressure and block the body's ability to to produce cholesterol.
Mechanism:
Amlodipine and Atorvastatin work together. Atorvastatin can help to lower cholesterol in patients who are at risk for heat disease or stroke. Amlodipine is a calcium-channel blocker used to lower high blood pressure and alos relieves certain types of chest pains.

Side EffectsThe most common side effects with this medicine include: headache, stomach upset or pain, diarrhea, gas, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, facial flushing, fatigue or weakness, tiredness, joint pain
Precautions:
Before taking this medicine talk to your health care provider if you any of these condition: alcohol dependency, heart problems (including heart failure or aortic stnosis), liver or kidney disease, low blood pressure, seizures, any hormone disorder, infection, severe injury or recent surgery, blood salt inbalance, muscle condition or disorder
Preganant:
Talk to your doctor about using this medicine during pregnancy or nursing to discuss any possible risks to you or your baby. For nursing mothers, this medicine is excreted in breast milk. DO NOT breast feed while taking this medicine.

Dosage InformationThese medicines are taken by mouth with full glass of water (8 oz) and can be taken with or without food. Avoid grapefruit while taking these medicines. Foll
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
