Dosage InformationThe ideal intake of biotin is unknown. Researchers have estimated that 30 micrograms per day appear to be adequate in adults. Larger amounts of biotin (8-16 milligrams per day) may be supportive for people with diabetes. Biotin in the amount of 2.5 milligrams per day strengthened the fingernails of two-thirds of a group of people with brittle nails.

Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
