Drug InformationIt is unclear whether or not boron is an essential nutrient. It appears to affect the metabolism of magnesium, copper, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D, connecting it with bone and joint health. It has been used to prevent osteoporosis, and some researchers advocate that ability to use energy and think clearly may depend on boron.
Mechanism:
It is believed that boron may conserve the body's use of calcium, magnesium, and Vitamin D, though this has not been well documented.
