Drug InformationThis medicine is a chemotherapy drug used for treating many types of cancer including; ovarian, bladder and lung cancer. This medicine is used alone or with other chemotherapy agents or radiation therapy.
Mechanism:
This medicine interferes with the growth of rapidly dividing cancer cells and causes these cells to die.

Side EffectsThe most common side effects with this medicine are: fatigue, loss of apetite, loss of hair, metallic taste, pain at the injection site
Precautions:
Before taking this medicine, talk to health care provider if you have any of the following conditions: dental disease, previous radiation therapy, active infection, bleeding problems, hearing problems, loss of feeling; pain or numbness in hands or feet, an allergic or unusual reaction to this medicine or other chemotherapy medicines
Preganant:
Before taking this medicine , talk to your health care provider if your pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant. This medicine can cause BIRTH DEFECTS. DO NOT become pregnant while being treated with this medicine. You MUST use birth control methods while receiving this treatment or if your partner is being treated with this medicine.

Dosage InformationThis medicine is usually given in a hospital or clinic setting. It is infused into a vein by your health care provider or trained professional. Follow your regular schedule of doses usually one dose every 4 weeks. This medicine can also be given directly into you abdomen. This medicine is infused into your abdomen and then drained out after 2 to 4 hours. This treatment is given every 3 to 4 weeks.
Missed Dosage:
DO NOT miss a dose. Talk to health care provider if you can not make your appointment.
Storage:
There is no storage required. This medicine is usually given at the hospital or clinic setting. You will NOT be taking this medicine home.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
