Drug InformationThis medicine is used for patients who have bacterial infections of the ear, chest, or skin.
Mechanism:
This medicine kills bacteria by stopping the formation of bacterial cell walls.
More Info:
Antibiotics may decrease the amount of "good" bacteria in your intestines needed for normal digestion. A supplement called Probiotic may be recommended. Talk to your pharmacist.

Side EffectsThis medicine is usually well-tolerated, but may cause some mild side effects.
Precautions:
Before taking this medicine, talk to your doctor if you have severe kidney disease.
Preganant:
If you suspect that you may be pregnant, talk to you doctor. For nursing mothers, this medication is excreted in breast milk and may cause your infant to develop diarrhea, candidiasis, or an allergic reaction. Use caution and talk with your pediatrician.

Dosage InformationIt is important to take this medication at regular intervals and take it until it is all gone.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
