Side Effects

Side effects from esomeprazole can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: headache, diarrhea, upset stomach, gas, stomach pain, constipation, dry mouth, change in taste
Precautions:
Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to esomeprazole, omeprazole (Prilosec), lansoprazole (Prevacid), or any other drugs.
Preganant:
There have not been well-controlled studies using esomeprazole during pregnancy. Use only if clearly needed and if the benefit outweighs any potential risk. Dosage Information

Esomeprazole is available in a delayed-release capsule and should be swallowed whole, not crushed, or chewed. The best time to take this medicine is at least 1 hour before a meal.
