Mechanism:
Fumaric acid is formed in the skin when skin is exposed to sunlight. It is thought that individuals with psoriasis may have a defect that interferes with normal fumaric acid production.

Dosage InformationThis supplement should only be used under the supervision of a dermatologist. Orally or topically, beginning doses are in the range of 60 to 100 mg daily, increasing gradually over time up to as much as 1290 mg daily.
