Drug InformationThis medicine is used to reduce high triglycerides in the blood, reducing the risk of coronary heart disease.
Mechanism:
This medicine stops the liver from producing tryglycerides. This medicine decrease "bad cholesterol and increases "good cholesterol."

Side EffectsThis medicine may cause an increase in blood sugar levels.
Precautions:
Talk to your doctor if you have liver disease, gallbladder disease or severe kidney problems.
Preganant:
Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is advised to discuss the risk versus benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine. For nursing mothers, this medicine is excreted in breast milk. It is advised not to breast feed while taking this medicine.

Dosage InformationThis medicine should be taken orally twice a day, 30 minutes before your morning and evening meals.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
