Drug Information

This medicine is use for external genital or anal warts. It also treats another skin condition called actinic keratosis. This medicine does not cure the HPV virus that causes genital or anal warts. For treatment of gential warts or actinic keratosis you will apply this medicine as prescribed by health provider.

Side Effects

Call your health care provider immediately if you experience any of these uncommon side effects: open sores with or without drainage, skin infection, skin rash, unusual or severe skin reaction.
Precautions:
Before taking this medicine tell your health care provider if you have an allergic or unusual reaction to this medicine, other medicines, foods, preservatives or dyes.
Preganant:
Before taking this medicine talk to your health care provider if you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant or breast-feeding..

Dosage Information

For treatment of genital or anal warts this medicine is usually applied 3 times a week until warts are gone for a maximum of 16 weeks. DO NOT use this medicine inside the vagina or rectum. Uncircumcised men treating under the foreskin of the penis should pull the foreskin and clean daily. Women should take special care not to get the cream in vagina and while applying to the vagina opening take special care because the local skin reactions on the delicate moist surface can cause pain and swelling and may cause problems passing urine. Do not bandage or wrap treated area and wash that area with mild soap and water ever 6 to 10 hours after applying this medicine. For treatment of actinic keratosis you will apply this medicine to the affected area twice a week making sure they are 3 to 4 days apart for 16 weeks. Wash skin with mild soap and water after 8 hours on the skin. The area should not be larger than size of your cheek or forehead, about 2 inches by 2 inches.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
