Precautions:
The fluoroquinolone family has been shown to cause photosensitivity. When out in the sun, wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen.
Preganant:
The effects during pregnancy have not been documented, so this medicine should be used only when clearly needed and potential benefits outweigh the risks. Though some of the fluoroquinolones have been detected in breast milk, it is not known if significant amounts of levofloxacin are excreted, so this drug should be used with caution while breast-feeding.
