Drug InformationLipase has been used for the following conditions; indigestion and heartburn, cystic fibrosis, celiac disease and Crohn's disease. People with low amounts of pancreatic enzymes and those with cystic fibrosis require supplemental lipase and other enzymes.
Mechanism:
Lipase is an enzyme that the body uses to breakdown or metabolize lactose, a milk sugar.

Dosage InformationFollow directions given to you by your doctor or other healthcare provider. Doses of 1.5 grams of 9X pancreatin is generally used with each meal. The "9X" is equal to 18 USP units of lipase.
