Drug InformationThis medicine is used to help stomach retention (gastroparesis) associated with diabetes; acid reflux; nausea and vomiting associated with migraine headaches; nausea and vomiting induced by anticancer drugs (chemotherapy). Your doctor may prescribe this medicine for other condition as well.
Mechanism:
This medicine accelerates stomach emptying by working on the parasympathetic nervous system.

Side Effectsdrowsiness and lethargy
Precautions:
Do NOT take this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
Preganant:
Talk to your doctor about the benefits versus the risks of taking this medicine if you are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant. For nursing mother, this medicine has been found in the breast milk. Talk to your doctor if you plan to breast-feed.

Dosage InformationThis medicine is taken orally, generally 4 times a day. It should be taken 30 minutes before meals and at bedtime.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center.
