Drug InformationIt is used primarily for those who have high blood pressure, and may also be used to treat angina pectoris (chest pains) and for treatment after a heart attack.

This medicine blocks the action of a chemical that can cause constriction of blood vessels and stimulation of heart muscle.

Side Effectsmild drowsiness
Precautions:
Do NOT abruptly stop taking this medication without consulting with a doctor, as sudden withdrawal may cause chest pains.
Preganant:
If you suspect that you may be pregnant, talk to you doctor to discuss the risks versus the benefits to your pregnancy. For nursing mothers, this medication is excreted in breast milk. Before breast feeding, consult with your doctor.

Dosage InformationThis medicine is taken orally, normally once or twice daily. It may be taken with food or on an empty stomach. Take the medicine regularly.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center.
