Drug InformationThis medicine is used to treat chronic asthma.
Mechanism:
Singulair is a non steroid. It works by blocking substances in the body called leukotrienes. By blocking leukotrienes, asthma symptoms are improved.

Side Effectstiredness
Precautions:
Do NOT lower the dose of any of your asthma medicines unless you are told to do so by your doctor.
Preganant:
If you are, or plan on becoming pregnant, consult with your doctor first. For breast-feeding mothers, it is inknow whether this medicine is excreted in breast milk. Talk to your doctor if you plan to breast feed.

Dosage InformationThis medicine can be taken with or without food. Singulair is taken once daily in the evening. Continue taking this medicine even if symptoms improve.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center.
