Drug InformationThis medicine is used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Mechanism:
This medication is a member of the Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) family. It works by reducing inflammation and swelling in arthritic joints to relieve pain.

Precautions:
Before taking this medicine, notify your doctor if you have kidney disease or a history of kidney problems.
Preganant:
This drug has not been well studied during pregnancy, but NSAIDâs in general are not recommended during the third trimester. It is unknown whether nabumetone is excreted in breast milk (most NSAIDâs are), so caution should be used in deciding whether to discontinue the drug or the breast-feeding.

Dosage InformationFood does not affect the absorption of this medicine, so this medicine can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. Dosing is usually once daily, although some patients are prescribed twice daily dosing.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center. Symptoms of overdose include: stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, feeling tired, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), confusion, headache and blurred vision.
