This drug works by increasing a chemical called 5-HT by blocking its reuptake. It also blocks the 5-HT2 receptor.

Precautions:
Do NOT stop taking this medicine abruptly.
Preganant:
If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, talk to your doctor. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy unless the benefits clearly outweigh the risks to the fetus. It is unknown whether this medicine is excreted in breast milk. Talk to you doctor before you breast feed.

Dosage InformationFollow the directions that your doctor has given you. This medicine can be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. It may take up to 4 weeks before this medicine reaches its full effect.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
