Drug Information

This medicine helps to lower blood pressure. It controls high blood pressure but is not a cure. This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure in adults. It may be used alone or with other medicines that treat high blood pressure.
Mechanism:
This medicine lowers blood pressure by widening the blood vessels.

Side Effects

The side effects that you may experience should be mild. If they continue or become bothersome talk to your health care provider.
Precautions:
Before taking this medicine, notify your health care provider if you have any history of: heart failure, kidney disease, liver disease, allergic reaction to this medicine or other medicines, foods or dyes or preservatives
Preganant:
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE if you get pregnant while your on this medicine and call your health care provider at immediately. This medicine may cause harm to your child.

Dosage Information

Take this medicine by mouth with a full 8 ounces of water. You may or may not take with food. Follow your health care provider instructions while taking this medicine.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
