Drug Information

This medicine is used for nasal congestion caused by colds or hay fever. Your doctor may prescribe this medicine for other conditions as well.
Mechanism:
This medicine relieves congestion in the nasal area by decreasing fluids to that area.

Dosage Information

For proper use of this medicine, follow the directions on the package, unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. To use a nose spray: gently blow your nose. Then sit back and tilt your head back slightly. Place the tip of the spray container into the nose. Close off the other nostril with your other hand. Spray into the nose. Wait at least one minute in between sprays. After using, rinse the tip of the sprayer in hot water and dry. This prevents contamination.
Missed Dosage:
If your doctor has instructed you to take this medicine regularly and you miss a dose, take your next dose, as soon as you remember. If you are close to your next dose, do not double up. Skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
