Drug Information

This medicine for treating symptoms of herpes virus infections on lips or face. This medicine is not a cure for herpes virus but it will make healing faster and may relieve pain or discomfort.

Side Effects

With this medicine you may experience: dulled sensitivity to touch, altered taste sensation, skin irritation or itching, skin rash
Precautions:
DO NOT make contact with anothers person's skin even while taking this medicine. Do not get this medicine in your eyes. If this happens, rinse out your eyes with plenty of tap water.
Preganant:
Before taking this medicine, talk to your health care provider if you are pregnant, nursing or thinking of becoming pregnant.to determind any risk for you or your baby.

Dosage Information

This medicine is a cream. Follow your health care provider instructions or on the prescriptions label. Apply at the first signs of blisters or symptoms, such as, tingling sensation or burning.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses or take extra doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
