Drug InformationPregnenolone has been used for sleep, stress, wrinkles, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythenatosus, psoriasis, and scleroderma. Pregnenolone may be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor or health care provider.
Mechanism:
Pregnenlolone is a precursor hormone to DHEA and progesterone. The functions of pregnenolone are not well known. Pregnenolone appears to cause "excitation", by blocking the known GABA receptors.

If you have a history of seizures, let your doctor know before taking pregnenolone.
Preganant:
