Drug Information

This vitamin and mineral combination is used to treat or prevent a lack of vitamins or minerals before, during, and after pregnancy and breast-feeding. This medicine also contains a stool-softener to prevent constipation.
Mechanism:
Vitamins act as coenzymes in the break-down of foods. Minerals are important for proper nerve conduction, muscle contraction and involved in many chemical reactions in the body.

Side Effects

Some common side effects reported with this medicine include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation
Precautions:
Vitamins and minerals alone should NOT be substituted for a well-balanced diet.
Preganant:
This medicine is prescribed for pregnant and nursing women.

Dosage Information

Follow the directions given to you by your doctor or pharmacist. TAKE THIS MEDICINE with food is stomach upset occurs. This medicine should be taken orally with a full glass of water. Avoid dairy products with this medicine. Dairy products may interfere with the absorption of iron contained in this medicine.
Missed Dosage:
If your doctor has instructed you to take this medicine regularly and you miss a dose, take your next dose, as soon as you remember. If you are close to your next dose, do not double up. Skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
