Drug Information

This medicine is a combination antihistamine and cough suppressant, used to treat cough, runny nose, sneezing and itchy watery eyes caused by colds or flu. Your doctor may also prescribe this medicine for other conditions as well.
Mechanism:
This combination medicine blocks allergy symptoms (sneezing, runny nose) and suppresses cough centers in the brain.

Side Effects

Precautions:
This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
Preganant:
If you plan on becoming pregnant, talk to your doctor about the benefits versus the risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. For lactating mothers, some studies have shown that this medicine is excreted in breast milk. Check with your doctor before breastfeeding your baby.

Dosage Information

Follow the directions given to you by your doctor. This medicine is taken orally and may be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Do not exceed the recommended dose of this medicine.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
