Drug InformationThis drug is given to patients with known or suspected exposure to radioactive cesium-137 or radioactive or non-radioactive thallium. This medicine DOES NOT treat the complications of radiation exposure.
Mechanism:
This medicine binds with radioactive cesium-137 or radioactive or non-radioactive thallium to help them pass out of the body faster.

Side EffectsSome common side effects reported with this medicine include: constipation, upset stomach
Precautions:
Radiogardase may cause constipation. A fiber based laxative and/or high fiber diet is recommended during treatment.
Preganant:
Talk to your health care provider before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, thinking of becoming pregnant or breast-feeding.

Dosage InformationFollow your doctors instructions for taking this medicine.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
