Drug InformationThis drug is used to treat or prevent a deficiency. Deficiencies affect the skin, eyes and mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines. Symptoms would include dry or cracked lips, soreness or burning of the lips and tongue, possible magenta-colored tongue, reddening or burning of the eyes, or dry itchy scalp.
Mechanism:
Vitamin B2 is a water soluble vitamin that plays a role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It is plays a critical role in energy production, growth & reproduction, and the growth of healthy skin, hair and nails.

Missed Dosage:
If your doctor has instructed you to take this medicine regularly and you miss a dose, take your next dose, as soon as you remember. If you are close to your next dose, do not double up. Skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
