Drug InformationThis medicine is used for patients who have inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis or for painful cramps at the time of their menstrual period, also know as dysmenorrhea.
Mechanism:
This medicine inhibits the COX ll enzyme which is known to play a role in arthritis and inflammation.

Side Effectsstomach upset
Precautions:
This medicine should be used with caution by patients with a history of aspirin or NSAID induced asthma, peptic ulcer disease, or high blood pressure.
Preganant:
For women, this medicine should not be used during pregnancy. If you suspect that you may be pregnant, talk to you physician or pharmacist. For nursing mothers, it is unknown whether this medication is excreted in breast milk. It is advised not to breast-feed while taking this medication.

Dosage InformationDoses will vary depending on your conditions, but for adults are usually between 12.5 and 50 milligrams once a day.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
