Drug InformationRoyal jelly has been used to lower high cholesterol, for rejuvenation, increase immune function, kidney disease, bone fractures, liver disease, and asthma. Topically it is used as a skin tonic and to increase hair growth.
Mechanism:
In experiments with animals, royal jelly has shown antitumor activity. In trials with rabbits and humans, royal jelly has reduced total cholesterol levels. The exact way royal jelly works is still not know.
