Drug InformationFor the prevention of sunburn caused by overexposure to the sun.
Mechanism:
Sunscreens provide a chemical or physical barrier to the harmful rays of the sun. Chemical sunscreens absorb ultraviolet radiation in the UVB range and in some cases a portion of the UVA range.

Dosage InformationApply liberally to all exposed areas of the skin at least 30 minutes prior to sun exposure. Reapply sunscreen after swimming or excessive sweating.
Missed Dosage:
Sunscreens should be applied prior to sun exposure. Apply liberally after swimming or sweating.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.

Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
