Side EffectsThe most common side effects of PROTOPIC are stinging, soreness, a burning feeling, or itching of the skin treated with PROTOPIC. These side effects are usually mild to moderate, are most common during the first few days of treatment, and typically lessen if your skin heals.
Precautions:
Before you start using this medicine, tell your doctor if you are: receiving any form of light therapy (phototherapy, UVA or UVB) on your skin, using any other type of skin product
Preganant:
Before taking this medicine, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant, talk to your health care provider. DO NOT use this medicine if you are breast-feeding.

Dosage InformationUse this medicine only to treat eczema that has been diagnosed by a doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Apply a thin layer to all skin areas that your doctor has diagnosed as eczema. Try to cover the affected areas completely. Apply the ointment twice daily, about 12 hours apart.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Store at room temperature (59° to 86°F). For instance, never leave this medicine in your car in cold or hot weather. Make sure the cap on the tube is tightly closed. Keep out of the reach of children.
Overdose:
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.
