Drug InformationThis medicine is used for patients who have breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, or gynecomastia (breast development in men).
Mechanism:
This medication works by preventing or slowing the growth of estrogen dependant cells. In order to achieve maximum benefits from this medication, it should be taken orally twice a day or as prescribed by your physician.

Side EffectsThis medicine usually causes side effects similar to low estrogen levels for example:
Precautions:
Use this medication with caution if you have leukopenia (low white blood cell count), or thrombocytopenia (low platelet count).
Preganant:
This medicine is considered generally unsafe if you are pregnant or nursing, and you should consult your physician.

Dosage InformationTake the medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The tablet can be taken with food or on an empty stomach.
Missed Dosage:
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Storage:
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
