Mechanism:
Tyrosine is important for the structure of many proteins. Tyrosine is also needed to make important brain chemicals called neurotransmitters which may have an effect on conditions such as mood disorders and depression. Tyrosine is formed by skin cells into melanin. Melanin is the pigment that protects ourselves from harmful ultraviolet radiation.
